Senior PostgreSQL Administrator Needed for High Availability Setup Sprint

About the role

Ridgeline Software is launching a rapid CI/CD and platform automation sprint to accelerate release cycles. We need a PostgreSQL Administrator who can design, tune, and automate database workflows that integrate seamlessly with our pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Implement automated backup, restore, and failover processes for PostgreSQL clusters
• Build CI/CD jobs that run migrations, schema checks, and performance tests
• Optimize queries and indexes for high‑throughput deployment environments
• Collaborate with DevOps to embed monitoring and alerting into the release pipeline
• Document procedures and create runbooks for on‑call teams

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL in production
• Strong scripting experience (Bash, Python) for automation
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
• Understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)

Nice to have

• Experience with MongoDB or MySQL migrations
• Knowledge of Terraform or other IaC frameworks
• Background in performance tuning for cloud‑native databases
