Key Responsibilities

• Translate documents, articles, and other materials from one language to another, ensuring that the translations are accurate, idiomatic, and culturally relevant.
• Review and edit translations to ensure that they meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
• Conduct research to ensure that translations are culturally relevant and reflect the nuances of the target language.
• Collaborate with other translators, editors, and project managers to ensure that projects are completed on time and to the required standard.
• Use computer-assisted translation tools and other software to facilitate the translation process.
• Meet deadlines and deliver high-quality translations that meet the needs of our clients.
• Participate in quality control processes to ensure that translations meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and changes in language usage, and apply this knowledge to improve the quality of translations.
• Work closely with the project management team to ensure that projects are delivered on time and to the required standard.
• Provide feedback and suggestions for improving the translation process and the quality of translations.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities to improve language skills and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
• Collaborate with other team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
• Contribute to the development of translation guidelines and best practices.
• Participate in the review and evaluation of translations to ensure that they meet the required standard.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.
• Native speaker of the target language, with excellent language skills in both the source and target languages.
• At least 2 years of experience in translation, with a strong background in technical translation.
• Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce high-quality translations that are accurate, idiomatic, and culturally relevant.
• Strong research skills, with the ability to conduct research to ensure that translations are culturally relevant and reflect the nuances of the target language.
• Proficiency in computer-assisted translation tools and other software.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well with other translators, editors, and project managers.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality translations.
