We are a seed-funded health-tech startup building a new way for users to visualize their daily activity and recovery metrics. We have a finished design in Figma and a backend API ready to go. We are now looking for a dedicated iOS Developer to bring this vision to life using Swift and SwiftUI. This is a greenfield project, meaning you will have the freedom to set up the architecture correctly from day one without wrestling with legacy Objective-C code.
Your main challenge will be integrating with Apple's HealthKit to pull step count, heart rate, and sleep data securely. You will then need to visualize this data in beautiful, interactive charts. We care deeply about animations and micro-interactions—the app needs to feel "alive." You should be comfortable working with MVVM architecture and Combine for handling asynchronous data streams.
We are looking for a partner, not just a coder. We want someone who will suggest improvements to the UX and point out potential edge cases we haven't thought of. If you have apps currently live on the App Store that demonstrate your ability to build smooth, polished interfaces, we would love to see them.
Key Responsibilities
Architect and build the iOS application from scratch using Swift and SwiftUI.
Integrate Apple HealthKit to read and write user health data securely.
Implement complex custom charts and graphs to visualize user progress.
Connect the app to our RESTful backend API for data synchronization.
Ensure the app is fully accessible (VoiceOver support) and responsive across all iPhone sizes.
Write clean, maintainable code and manage version control via Git.
Prepare the app for TestFlight beta testing and final App Store submission.
