About the role

We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our team for a focused two‑month project. The work will involve enhancing our core services, optimizing data pipelines, and delivering reliable API endpoints for upcoming product features.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using NodeJS.
• Implement database schemas and queries in PostgreSQL.
• Collaborate with front‑end engineers to define API contracts.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot production issues.
• Document technical decisions and API specifications.

Must-have skills

• Proficient in NodeJS and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL database design and optimization.
• Hands‑on experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code and unit tests.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Docker containerization.
• Experience with cloud services such as AWS or GCP.
