About the role

Harbor Softworks is enhancing its test automation suite to lower regression risk before product launches. We need a Database Administrator who can design, implement, and maintain robust data solutions that support automated test pipelines and ensure data integrity across environments.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and tune PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL instances for high‑volume test data loads.
• Develop scripts to seed, refresh, and clean test databases as part of CI/CD workflows.
• Monitor performance, implement indexing strategies, and resolve bottlenecks during regression runs.
• Collaborate with QA engineers to define data schemas that reflect realistic production scenarios.
• Document backup, recovery, and security procedures for test environments.

Must-have skills

• 3+ years managing PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL in CI/CD contexts.
• Strong SQL proficiency and experience with data migration tooling.
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) and containerized deployments.
• Excellent troubleshooting and performance tuning abilities.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure Cosmos DB).
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
• Understanding of data masking and compliance for test data.
