GraphQL API Developer – Customer-Facing API Design

About the role

We are boosting test automation to cut regression risk before a major launch. The GraphQL API Developer will design and extend our GraphQL layer, ensuring it integrates cleanly with existing test suites and supports rapid feature verification.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and document new GraphQL queries and mutations for test scenarios
• Collaborate with QA engineers to embed API calls into automated test flows
• Optimize resolver performance to keep test runtimes low
• Maintain versioned schema and enforce backward compatibility
• Provide guidance on best practices for API consumption in React test components

Must-have skills

• Strong experience building GraphQL APIs in production
• Proficiency with React and NodeJS integration
• Solid understanding of REST API concepts and when to bridge them
• Hands‑on test automation experience (e.g., Cypress, Playwright)

Nice to have

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for automated testing
• Knowledge of TypeScript and schema‑first development
