About the role
TechFlow Inc is revamping its legacy transaction engine, codenamed "PulseStream", to achieve zero‑downtime deployments. As a GraphQL API Developer you will redesign the data layer, replace aging SOAP endpoints, and ensure seamless client migration while keeping production traffic uninterrupted.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement a new GraphQL schema for the PulseStream module using Apollo Server.
- Migrate existing REST and SOAP services to GraphQL resolvers with TypeScript typings.
- Set up CI pipelines in GitHub Actions for automated schema validation and zero‑downtime rollout.
- Implement data‑loader batching and caching to meet sub‑millisecond latency targets.
- Collaborate with DevOps to configure blue‑green deployments on Kubernetes.
- Write integration tests with Jest and GraphQL Playground to verify end‑to‑end behavior before each release.
Must-have skills
- Strong experience building production GraphQL APIs (Apollo or similar).
- Proficiency in NodeJS and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Solid understanding of REST principles and migration patterns.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools, especially GitHub Actions.
- Ability to troubleshoot performance bottlenecks in a high‑throughput environment.
Nice to have
- Experience with Kubernetes and blue‑green deployment strategies.
- Knowledge of TypeScript and data‑loader patterns.
