Node.js Developer – Cloud-Native API Design

About the role

CoreData Systems is modernizing its customer‑facing services to boost performance and reliability. We need a Node.js Developer to redesign critical backend components, ensuring low latency and high availability under load.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing Node.js services and identify bottlenecks
• Refactor code to improve response times and error handling
• Implement robust logging, monitoring, and automated health checks
• Design and expose efficient REST APIs for front‑end consumption
• Collaborate with QA and DevOps to embed performance tests into CI pipelines

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with NodeJS and Express
• Deep understanding of JavaScript runtime performance
• Proficiency in building and securing REST API services
• Familiarity with asynchronous patterns and event‑driven architecture

Nice to have

• Experience with profiling tools (e.g., clinic, New Relic)
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration basics
• Background in scaling services on cloud platforms
