PostgreSQL Administrator Needed for Performance Tuning

About the role

DataPro Services is expanding its data infrastructure and needs a PostgreSQL Administrator to ensure high performance, reliability, and security of our databases. You will work closely with the engineering team to support ongoing projects and maintain data integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade PostgreSQL instances
• Monitor performance and tune queries for optimal speed
• Implement backup, recovery, and disaster‑recovery plans
• Manage user roles, permissions, and security policies
• Collaborate on schema design and data migration tasks

Must-have skills

• 2+ years managing PostgreSQL in production
• Strong SQL querying and performance tuning abilities
• Experience with backup, replication, and high‑availability setups
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments

Nice to have

• Knowledge of MongoDB or MySQL ecosystems
• Exposure to cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure Database)
• Automation scripting with Bash or Python
