About the role

NexGen Media is expanding its data operations platform. We need a Python Backend Developer to design and implement robust data pipelines that feed analytics dashboards used by operations teams. The work focuses on clean architecture, scalable processing, and secure data handling.

Key responsibilities

• Build end‑to‑end ETL pipelines using Python and Django
• Design RESTful APIs for data ingestion and retrieval
• Integrate PostgreSQL storage with partitioning and indexing strategies
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for pipeline health
• Collaborate with data analysts to translate requirements into technical specs

Must-have skills

• Strong Python development experience
• Proficiency with Django framework
• Design and implementation of REST APIs
• Hands‑on PostgreSQL schema design and query optimization

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Airflow or similar orchestration tools
• Experience in cloud environments (AWS/GCP)
• Knowledge of data visualization pipelines
