Senior Android Developer for Push Notification Integration

About the role

CoreData Systems is modernizing a legacy production platform that must stay live 24/7. We need an Android Developer to redesign key modules, improve performance, and implement zero‑downtime deployment pipelines. You will work closely with backend engineers and DevOps to ensure seamless feature rollouts.

Key responsibilities

• Refactor existing Android codebase to Kotlin while preserving Java interoperability
• Implement feature flags and blue‑green releases for zero‑downtime updates
• Integrate new APIs and migrate legacy services without service interruption
• Write unit, UI, and integration tests to guarantee stability
• Collaborate on CI/CD pipeline enhancements for Android builds

Must-have skills

• Strong Kotlin and Java expertise for Android development
• Experience with Gradle, Android Jetpack, and modern architecture patterns
• Proven track record of delivering updates with zero downtime
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (Espresso, JUnit)

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Kotlin Coroutines and Flow
• Experience with Firebase or similar backend services
• Understanding of CI/CD tools like Bitrise or GitHub Actions
