About the role
Summit Digital is modernizing a legacy production platform that must stay online 24/7. We need an AWS Cloud Engineer to design and implement zero‑downtime migration patterns, automate infrastructure, and ensure seamless traffic cut‑over.
Key responsibilities
- Architect blue‑green and canary deployment pipelines using AWS CodePipeline and CloudFormation.
- Containerize legacy services with Docker and orchestrate them on Amazon ECS or EKS.
- Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting with CloudWatch and X‑Ray.
- Collaborate with developers to refactor critical components for cloud‑native operation.
- Document migration steps and rollback procedures for the ops team.
Must-have skills
- Deep experience with AWS core services (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM).
- Strong Docker containerization and orchestration knowledge.
- Proven DevOps automation using CI/CD tools.
- Solid Linux administration and scripting abilities.
Nice to have
- Experience with serverless frameworks (Lambda, SAM).
- Familiarity with Terraform or Pulumi.
