About the role

BrightMart Solutions is modernizing its legacy production platform, aiming for zero‑downtime migrations. As a Cybersecurity Engineer you will safeguard this transformation, ensuring continuous protection while new services go live.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement real‑time threat detection rules in Splunk for the new micro‑service mesh.
• Automate incident response playbooks using Python and AWS Lambda to meet sub‑minute remediation targets.
• Conduct zero‑trust network segmentation audits across the legacy to cloud migration pipeline.
• Integrate SIEM alerts with PagerDuty and create custom dashboards for production uptime monitoring.
• Perform daily vulnerability scans with Nessus on both on‑prem and AWS workloads, prioritizing findings that could affect uptime.
• Collaborate with DevOps to embed security controls into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring no rollout delays.

Must-have skills

• Deep experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, Elastic) and SOC operations.
• Strong scripting in Python for automation and log parsing.
• Hands‑on expertise with AWS security services (GuardDuty, IAM, KMS).
• Proficiency in Linux hardening, firewall configuration, and network forensics.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of container security tools such as Falco or Aqua.
• Certifications like CISSP or AWS Security Specialty.
