About the role
Pinecrest Systems is modernizing its core services by linking billing, CRM, and internal APIs. As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer you will secure the new "SecureSync" integration module, ensuring data flows remain protected across all touchpoints.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement IDS/IPS rules in AWS GuardDuty for the SecureSync data pipeline.
- Conduct threat modeling for API endpoints using the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
- Automate security testing of billing‑CRM connectors with Python scripts and OWASP ZAP.
- Monitor real‑time security events in Splunk and tune SOC alerts for integration anomalies.
- Collaborate with DevOps to embed SAST/DAST into CI/CD pipelines for continuous compliance.
Must-have skills
- Deep expertise in network security monitoring and incident response.
- Proficiency with Linux hardening, firewall configuration, and log analysis.
- Strong Python scripting for automation of security checks.
- Extensive experience securing AWS environments and IAM policies.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of zero‑trust architecture for API security.
