Senior Cybersecurity Engineer – Security Hardening

About the role

TechFlow Inc is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to strengthen our security operations center during a critical short‑term project. You will lead incident detection, response, and continuous monitoring to protect our infrastructure and data.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement SOC processes and playbooks.
• Monitor security alerts, investigate incidents, and coordinate remediation.
• Develop and tune SIEM rules and dashboards.
• Conduct threat hunting and vulnerability assessments.
• Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to improve security posture.
• Document findings and produce actionable reports for leadership.

Must-have skills

• Extensive experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
• Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, and IDS/IPS.
• Proficiency in scripting languages, especially Python.
• Hands‑on experience with Linux system administration.
• Understanding of cloud security concepts, particularly AWS.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, or AWS Security Specialty.
• Experience with threat intelligence platforms.
