About the role

NovaForge Tech is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a Database Administrator to lead the effort in tightening data storage, access controls, and encryption across our environments.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing database configurations for compliance gaps
• Implement role‑based access, encryption at rest and in transit
• Design and apply security patches and version upgrades
• Collaborate with DevOps to integrate security checks into CI pipelines
• Document hardening procedures and provide knowledge transfer

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL in cloud settings
• Deep understanding of security best practices and compliance frameworks
• Experience with AWS/Azure database services and IAM controls
• Proficiency in scripting for automation (Python, Bash)

Nice to have

• Certifications such as CISSP, AWS Security Specialty
• Familiarity with containerized database deployments
