About the role

LumenWorks is revamping its customer‑facing services to boost speed and reliability. We need a GraphQL API Developer who can redesign the data layer, tighten error handling, and ensure consistent performance under load.

Key responsibilities

• Refactor existing GraphQL schemas for optimal query resolution
• Implement caching strategies and rate‑limiting mechanisms
• Integrate with existing REST endpoints while maintaining backward compatibility
• Write performance tests and monitor latency metrics in production
• Collaborate with frontend engineers to streamline data fetching patterns

Must-have skills

• Deep experience building scalable GraphQL APIs
• Proficiency with React data consumption patterns
• Strong NodeJS backend development background
• Understanding of REST API integration and versioning

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Apollo Server or similar tooling
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for automated testing
• Knowledge of cloud monitoring services (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Datadog)
