About the role

LumenWorks is modernizing a legacy production platform that must stay online 24/7. We need a GraphQL API Developer to design and implement a zero‑downtime migration path while keeping existing services stable.

Key responsibilities

• Design a GraphQL schema that abstracts legacy data sources
• Implement resolvers in NodeJS, integrating with existing REST endpoints
• Develop automated tests to verify data fidelity during cut‑over
• Collaborate with ops to orchestrate blue‑green deployments
• Document migration steps and rollback procedures

Must-have skills

• Deep experience building production GraphQL APIs
• Proficiency in NodeJS and modern JavaScript
• Strong understanding of REST API patterns and integration
• Ability to work with React front‑ends that consume GraphQL
• Experience with zero‑downtime deployment strategies

Nice to have

• Familiarity with serverless functions or AWS Lambda
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for automated rollouts
• Background in legacy system refactoring
