About the role

Vertex Analytics is enhancing its data pipeline to give operations teams real‑time analytics. We need a GraphQL API Developer to design and implement a robust GraphQL layer that unifies existing REST services and feeds downstream analytics workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and develop a scalable GraphQL API on top of NodeJS
• Integrate with existing REST endpoints and data stores
• Collaborate with data engineers to model schemas that support pipeline transformations
• Implement authentication, caching, and error handling for production reliability
• Write comprehensive tests and documentation for API consumers

Must-have skills

• Deep experience building GraphQL services in production
• Proficiency with NodeJS and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
• Strong understanding of REST API patterns and data modeling
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing

Nice to have

• Experience with analytics platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery)
• Knowledge of event‑driven architectures and message queues
