About the role

Northbay Systems is expanding a multi‑tenant B2B platform and needs a Microservices Architect to design and deliver tenant‑isolated features. You will shape the service mesh, define APIs, and ensure scalability across diverse clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design a modular microservices architecture for multi‑tenant delivery
• Define service boundaries, contracts, and versioning strategy
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Docker and Kubernetes
• Guide the team on best practices for resilience, observability, and security
• Collaborate with product owners to translate requirements into technical specs

Must-have skills

• Proven experience designing microservices for SaaS products
• Deep knowledge of Docker containers and Kubernetes orchestration
• Strong Java development background
• Understanding of multi‑tenant data isolation and API design

Nice to have

• Familiarity with event‑driven architectures
• Experience with Istio or service mesh technologies
• Background in performance tuning for high‑traffic services
