About the role

Ridgeline Software is modernizing its customer‑facing services. We need a Microservices Architect to redesign core components for higher throughput and rock‑solid reliability. The project focuses on performance tuning, fault isolation, and scalable deployment patterns across our ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a microservices framework that meets strict latency targets
• Refactor existing services into containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes
• Introduce health‑check, circuit‑breaker, and retry strategies to improve resilience
• Collaborate with product owners to define service contracts and SLAs
• Guide the team on best practices for logging, monitoring, and automated scaling

Must-have skills

• Deep expertise in microservice architecture patterns
• Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes orchestration
• Strong Java development background, including Spring Boot or similar frameworks
• Proven track record of performance optimization in high‑traffic environments

Nice to have

• Exposure to distributed tracing (Jaeger, Zipkin)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments
