Senior Platform Engineer – Infrastructure Setup

About the role

AlphaEdge Tech is scaling its core services on a multi‑cloud environment and needs a senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and automate the underlying infrastructure. The project focuses on creating a resilient, automated platform that supports rapid feature delivery and high availability.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable cloud architecture on AWS.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using modern tooling.
• Containerize applications with Docker and orchestrate them via Kubernetes.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with IaC (Terraform or CloudFormation).
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for platform health.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure secure and efficient deployment workflows.

Must-have skills

• Extensive experience with AWS services and networking.
• Deep knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes in production.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions).
• Strong IaC skills using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Solid understanding of Linux systems and scripting.

Nice to have

• Experience with service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio).
• Familiarity with observability stacks like Prometheus and Grafana.
