About the role

Ridgeline Software is launching a sprint to embed CI/CD and platform automation into its PostgreSQL ecosystem. We need a seasoned PostgreSQL Administrator to design, implement, and fine‑tune automated release pipelines that accelerate delivery while preserving data integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and maintain PostgreSQL clusters supporting automated deployments
• Integrate database schema migrations into CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI or Jenkins
• Develop monitoring, backup, and disaster‑recovery scripts aligned with automation goals
• Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to streamline release workflows
• Document best practices and provide knowledge transfer for ongoing automation

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL in production environments
• Proficiency with CI/CD platforms and infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, Ansible)
• Strong SQL performance tuning and query optimization
• Experience scripting in Bash/Python for automation

Nice to have

• Exposure to MongoDB or MySQL for cross‑database strategies
• Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure)
