About the role

Cascade Apps is revamping a legacy production platform that must stay online 24/7. We need a Python Backend Developer to redesign core services, improve scalability, and ensure zero‑downtime deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Refactor monolithic code into modular Django apps
• Design and implement high‑performance REST APIs
• Integrate PostgreSQL schemas with migration strategies
• Set up CI/CD pipelines that support blue‑green releases
• Write automated tests and monitoring hooks
• Collaborate with DevOps to achieve zero‑downtime rollouts

Must-have skills

• 5+ years Python development, strong Django expertise
• Deep knowledge of REST API design and security
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL performance tuning
• Experience delivering zero‑downtime migrations in production

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
• Background in legacy system modernization
• Knowledge of async Python (FastAPI, asyncio)
