About the role

Northbay Systems is building a data pipeline and analytics enablement platform for operations teams. We need a TypeScript Developer to design, implement, and optimise data‑flow services that feed real‑time dashboards and reporting tools.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and develop TypeScript‑based ETL services using Node.js
• Integrate streaming sources (Kafka, Pub/Sub) into a unified pipeline
• Collaborate with data engineers to model schemas and ensure data quality
• Write unit and integration tests, enforce code standards, and document APIs
• Participate in sprint planning and deliver incremental features on schedule

Must-have skills

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript
• Experience with Angular or React for internal tooling
• Hands‑on knowledge of data pipelines, APIs, and cloud services
• Ability to write clean, testable code and use version control (Git)

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AWS/GCP data services (Lambda, Dataflow)
• Background in analytics or operations data domains
• Experience with Docker or container orchestration
