About the role

BlueSky Ventures is seeking a proactive Cybersecurity Analyst to strengthen our security posture. You will work remotely on a part‑time basis, collaborating with our engineering team to identify threats, monitor alerts, and implement protective measures.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on cloud and on‑premise assets.
• Analyze security logs, investigate incidents, and provide remediation guidance.
• Develop and maintain security scripts and automation using Python.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal policies.
• Provide clear documentation and reports for stakeholders.

Must-have skills

• Strong understanding of network security concepts and threat modeling.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
• Hands‑on experience with Linux environments and security tools.
• Ability to interpret logs, alerts, and security events.

Nice to have

• Experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk or ELK.
• Knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, OSCP).
