About the role

Orbit Labs is expanding its data pipeline and analytics capabilities for operations teams. We need a proactive Cybersecurity Analyst to embed security controls into the pipeline, ensuring data integrity and compliance while supporting rapid analytics delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and harden data ingestion and processing stages against threats
• Implement monitoring and alerting for anomalous data flows
• Collaborate with data engineers to embed security best practices in ETL scripts
• Conduct threat modeling for analytics workloads and recommend mitigations
• Document security policies and incident response procedures for the pipeline

Must-have skills

• Strong knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
• Hands‑on experience securing Linux‑based environments
• Proficiency in Python for scripting security checks and automations
• Understanding of data pipeline architectures and cloud services

Nice to have

• Familiarity with SIEM tools and log analysis
• Experience with container security (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Certifications such as CISSP or Security+
