About the role
Northbay Systems is preparing a major iOS launch and needs an experienced iOS App Developer to lead a test automation uplift. The focus is on reducing regression risk by building robust automated suites that integrate with existing CI pipelines.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement UI and unit test frameworks using Xcode and XCTest.
- Develop end‑to‑end automation for critical user flows, targeting high‑risk regression areas.
- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD tools to provide fast feedback on pull requests.
- Collaborate with product and QA teams to prioritize test cases and define coverage metrics.
- Document test architecture and provide knowledge transfer to internal QA engineers.
Must-have skills
- 5+ years of iOS development with Swift.
- Proven experience building and scaling test automation for iOS apps.
- Strong understanding of REST API consumption in mobile contexts.
- Familiarity with CI tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Bitrise.
Nice to have
- Experience with Fastlane or similar deployment automation.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools for iOS.
