About the role

Harbor Softworks is expanding its IoT platform to support multi‑tenant capabilities for a flagship B2B analytics suite. As an IoT Solutions Architect you will design and implement the tenant isolation layer, ensuring secure data segregation while maintaining high performance across thousands of devices.

Key responsibilities

• Architect the multi‑tenant data model for the "Nimbus Hub" module using PostgreSQL and TimescaleDB.
• Define and enforce MQTT topic naming conventions and ACLs for tenant isolation.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines in GitLab CI for automated provisioning of tenant environments.
• Collaborate with the edge firmware team to embed tenant identifiers in device bootloaders.
• Conduct load testing with Locust to validate scalability up to 10,000 concurrent tenants.
• Document architecture decisions and create Terraform modules for repeatable infrastructure rollout.

Must-have skills

• Deep expertise in IoT protocols (MQTT, CoAP) and device lifecycle management.
• Strong background in designing multi‑tenant SaaS architectures.
• Proficiency with Linux server administration and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Hands‑on experience with RESTful API design and security (OAuth2, JWT).
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with edge AI frameworks such as TensorFlow Lite.
• Experience with observability stacks like Prometheus & Grafana.
