About the role

We are overhauling the performance and reliability of our customer‑facing services. You will join a focused team to refactor core PHP modules, improve response times, and ensure uptime under load.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze existing codebase to identify bottlenecks and memory leaks
• Rewrite critical API endpoints using Laravel best practices
• Implement caching strategies and query optimizations in MySQL
• Set up automated tests and monitoring for reliability metrics
• Collaborate with front‑end and DevOps peers to align deployment pipelines

Must-have skills

• Strong proficiency in PHP and Laravel framework
• Deep understanding of MySQL performance tuning
• Experience with profiling tools and debugging complex code
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker or containerized environments
• Knowledge of queue systems like Redis or RabbitMQ
• Experience with CI/CD integration for PHP projects
