About the role
Harbor Softworks is launching a greenfield SaaS product and needs a PHP Developer to shape the core backend from day one. You will join a remote‑first team, collaborate with product designers and front‑end engineers, and help define architecture that scales as the user base grows.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement RESTful APIs using Laravel
- Model and optimize MySQL schemas for performance and reliability
- Write clean, testable code and unit tests
- Integrate third‑party services and payment gateways
- Participate in code reviews and agile ceremonies
Must-have skills
- 3+ years of professional PHP development
- Strong experience with Laravel framework
- Proficient in MySQL database design and query optimization
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Docker or container orchestration
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for PHP projects
- Knowledge of AWS services or other cloud platforms
