About the role

Harbor Softworks is enhancing its test automation framework to lower regression risk before each product launch. We need a Python Backend Developer who can design, extend, and maintain robust automation services that integrate with our CI pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable Python services for test execution and result aggregation
• Develop and refine RESTful APIs that trigger test suites and report metrics
• Integrate automation workflows with existing CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality
• Collaborate with QA engineers to translate manual test cases into automated scripts

Must-have skills

• Strong Python programming experience (3+ years)
• Proficiency with Django or Flask for API development
• Hands‑on experience building REST APIs
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL and database schema design

Nice to have

• Familiarity with test frameworks such as PyTest or Robot Framework
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration
• Understanding of cloud‑based CI/CD environments
