About the role

AlphaEdge Tech is enhancing its test automation framework to lower regression risk before product launches. We need a Python Backend Developer to design and extend automation services that integrate with our CI pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement robust backend APIs for test orchestration
• Refactor existing scripts into reusable Django components
• Optimize database interactions with PostgreSQL for large test datasets
• Collaborate with QA engineers to define automation coverage and reporting
• Ensure code quality with unit and integration tests

Must-have skills

• Strong Python development experience
• Proficiency with Django REST framework
• Hands‑on PostgreSQL schema design and query optimization
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and test automation tools

Nice to have

• Experience with containerization (Docker)
• Familiarity with cloud‑based test environments
• Knowledge of performance testing frameworks
