About the role

Vertex Analytics is boosting its release pipeline with a focused test automation uplift. We need a Python Backend Developer to design and extend automated regression suites that cut risk before product launch.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement robust Python test frameworks for API validation
• Integrate existing services into automated pipelines using Django and REST principles
• Collaborate with QA and product teams to prioritize high‑impact test cases
• Maintain test data stores in PostgreSQL and ensure data integrity across runs
• Document test architecture and provide knowledge transfer for ongoing maintenance

Must-have skills

• Strong Python programming experience (3+ years)
• Proficiency with Django for building test utilities
• Deep understanding of REST API testing strategies
• Hands‑on PostgreSQL schema design and query optimization
• Experience automating tests in CI/CD environments

Nice to have

• Familiarity with pytest or unittest frameworks
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) for isolated test runs
• Exposure to performance testing tools
