About the role

Summit Digital is launching a sprint to tighten CI/CD pipelines and automate platform provisioning. We need a Python Backend Developer to craft reusable services that speed up releases and reduce manual steps.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Python services that trigger automated builds, tests, and deployments.
• Integrate Django‑based APIs with GitLab CI runners and Kubernetes clusters.
• Write scripts to provision infrastructure components via IaC tools.
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to embed health checks and rollback logic.
• Document pipeline workflows and create runbooks for the team.

Must-have skills

• Strong Python proficiency and Django experience.
• Hands‑on with REST API design and consumption.
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL schema design and optimization.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts, Git, and containerization.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes or Docker.
• Exposure to Terraform or Ansible for automation.
