About the role

Cascade Apps is expanding its operations analytics platform. We need a REST API Developer to design and implement data pipelines that feed real‑time metrics to operations teams. The work focuses on building robust endpoints, orchestrating data flows, and ensuring high‑performance queries.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and document RESTful APIs for data ingestion and retrieval
• Integrate PostgreSQL stores with NodeJS services for analytics workloads
• Implement authentication, rate‑limiting, and error handling mechanisms
• Collaborate with data engineers to shape ETL pipelines and schema evolution
• Write unit and integration tests to guarantee reliability

Must-have skills

• Strong experience building REST APIs with NodeJS
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+)
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL query optimization
• Understanding of data pipeline concepts and analytics use‑cases

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker or container orchestration
• Experience with cloud data services (AWS, GCP)
• Background in operations or monitoring dashboards
