About the role

NexGen Media is expanding its data platform to support rapid growth in content delivery and audience insights. We need a senior Data Engineer to design and implement robust data pipelines that ingest, transform, and store large volumes of structured and semi‑structured data.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and develop end‑to‑end ETL pipelines on AWS.
• Optimize data models in PostgreSQL and MySQL for performance and scalability.
• Implement data quality checks and monitoring frameworks.
• Collaborate with analytics and product teams to define data requirements.
• Automate deployment and orchestration using CI/CD tools.

Must-have skills

• Advanced Python programming for data processing.
• Deep experience with PostgreSQL and MySQL databases.
• Proficiency in AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Lambda, and Glue.
• Strong understanding of data modeling and schema design.
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow).

Nice to have

• Familiarity with streaming platforms like Kinesis.
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) for data services.
