Senior Database Administrator – Multi-Region Database Architecture

About the role

TechFlow Inc is launching a CI/CD and platform automation sprint to accelerate release cycles. We need a Database Administrator who can design, implement, and maintain robust data pipelines that integrate seamlessly with our automation tools.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and optimize PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB instances for high‑throughput CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate schema migrations, backups, and monitoring using infrastructure‑as‑code practices.
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to embed database health checks into deployment pipelines.
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and ensure data integrity during rapid releases.
• Document procedures and provide knowledge transfer to the broader team.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB in production.
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions).
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python) for automation.
• Understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform or Ansible for database provisioning.
• Familiarity with monitoring stacks like Prometheus/Grafana.
