About the role

Cascade Apps is modernizing a legacy production platform that must stay live 24/7. We need a GraphQL API Developer to design and implement a zero‑downtime migration path while keeping existing services stable.

Key responsibilities

• Architect a GraphQL layer that coexists with legacy REST endpoints
• Refactor critical data services to NodeJS with incremental rollout
• Implement feature flags and blue‑green deployments for seamless cutovers
• Write automated tests and monitoring hooks to guarantee uptime
• Collaborate with front‑end teams to evolve React queries

Must-have skills

• Strong experience building GraphQL APIs in production
• Proficiency with NodeJS and modern JavaScript
• Understanding of zero‑downtime deployment patterns
• Ability to integrate GraphQL with existing REST services

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AWS Lambda or serverless runtimes
• Experience optimizing performance for high‑traffic platforms
