About the role

Summit Digital is revamping its customer‑facing services to boost performance and reliability. As a Microservices Architect you will shape the next‑generation architecture, ensuring low latency, high throughput, and fault tolerance across the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design and refactor microservice boundaries for optimal scalability
• Implement resilient communication patterns using async messaging and circuit breakers
• Lead containerization strategy with Docker and orchestrate deployments on Kubernetes
• Define monitoring, tracing, and auto‑scaling policies to meet SLA targets
• Collaborate with product owners to prioritize performance‑critical features

Must-have skills

• Deep expertise in microservice design and distributed systems
• Proficient with Docker, Kubernetes, and Java ecosystems
• Experience optimizing latency and throughput for high‑traffic APIs
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing

Nice to have

• Knowledge of service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
• Background in observability tools like Prometheus and Jaeger
