About the role

NexGen Media is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted microservices platform. We need a Microservices Architect to design, implement, and validate hardened service boundaries and secure communication patterns.

Key responsibilities

• Assess existing microservice topology and identify attack surfaces
• Design zero‑trust networking policies using service mesh concepts
• Refactor APIs to enforce authentication and encryption by default
• Integrate automated security scans into CI pipelines
• Document hardened architecture and provide knowledge transfer

Must-have skills

• Deep experience designing microservice architectures on Kubernetes
• Proficiency with Docker containerization and Java‑based services
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices (IAM, TLS, secret management)
• Ability to produce clear architecture diagrams and security guidelines

Nice to have

• Experience with Istio or Linkerd service meshes
• Familiarity with automated compliance tools (e.g., Open Policy Agent)
• Previous work on GDPR or PCI‑DSS compliance projects
