About the role

Ridgeline Software is revamping its customer‑facing services to boost performance and reliability. We need a Microservices Architect to design a resilient, high‑throughput architecture and guide its implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze existing services and pinpoint latency bottlenecks.
• Define a scalable microservices blueprint using Java and container orchestration.
• Create migration pathways to Docker and Kubernetes with zero downtime.
• Establish monitoring, tracing, and auto‑scaling policies.
• Mentor the development team on best practices for fault tolerance.

Must-have skills

• Deep experience designing microservices in Java.
• Proficient with Docker containerization.
• Strong command of Kubernetes for production workloads.
• Track record improving service latency and availability.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Istio or service mesh technologies.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for microservice deployment.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
