Senior Microservices Architect for Secure Platform Modernization

About the role

We are launching a greenfield SaaS product and need a Microservices Architect to shape the core backend. You will define service boundaries, data contracts, and deployment patterns for a remote‑first team.

Key responsibilities

• Design and document a scalable microservices architecture aligned with business goals
• Select and configure container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools
• Guide the team on API design, versioning, and security best practices
• Mentor developers on domain‑driven design and cloud‑native patterns
• Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and performance benchmarks

Must-have skills

• Proven experience architecting microservices in Java
• Deep knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for production workloads
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, event‑driven communication, and data consistency
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Familiarity with Terraform or similar IaC tools
• Background in building greenfield SaaS products
