About the role

Vertex Analytics is revamping the performance and reliability of its customer‑facing services. We need a Node.js Developer who can redesign critical back‑end components, improve latency, and ensure uptime under load.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing Node.js services and identify bottlenecks
• Refactor code to use async patterns and optimal middleware
• Implement robust logging, monitoring, and alerting
• Design and build high‑throughput REST APIs
• Collaborate with QA to create performance test suites

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with NodeJS and Express
• Deep understanding of JavaScript event loop and async programming
• Proven track record optimizing REST API performance
• Familiarity with profiling tools and load testing

Nice to have

• Experience with containerization (Docker)
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
• Background in CI/CD pipeline integration
