About the role

Cascade Apps is launching a greenfield SaaS platform called Aurora Hub, built for a remote‑first workforce. As a Platform Engineer you will design and implement the core infrastructure that powers this new product, ensuring scalability, security, and rapid delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and provision the AWS environment using Terraform, establishing VPC, subnets, and IAM policies.
• Build CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions to automate build, test, and deployment of microservices.
• Containerize existing services with Docker and orchestrate them on an EKS cluster, configuring Helm charts for versioned releases.
• Implement centralized logging and monitoring with CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana, setting up alerts for latency and error rates.
• Collaborate with developers to define environment parity across dev, staging, and production, delivering reproducible sandbox clusters.
• Document infrastructure diagrams and runbooks for on‑call rotation and knowledge transfer.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years experience in cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
• Strong Terraform/IaC expertise.
• Proficient with Docker, Kubernetes (EKS) and Helm.
• Hands‑on CI/CD pipeline creation using GitHub Actions or similar.
• Solid scripting skills in Bash/Python for automation.

Nice to have

• Experience with serverless frameworks (Lambda, API Gateway).
• Knowledge of security compliance standards (SOC2, ISO27001).
