Terraform Engineer – Release Engineering Engagement

About the role

AlphaEdge Tech is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a Terraform Engineer to design, implement, and audit infrastructure as code that meets strict security baselines across multiple AWS accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Write reusable Terraform modules that enforce encryption, least‑privilege IAM, and network segmentation.
• Integrate Terraform pipelines into existing CI/CD workflows for automated compliance checks.
• Collaborate with security analysts to translate hardening guidelines into code.
• Perform code reviews, static analysis, and remediation of drift.
• Document architecture decisions and provide knowledge transfer to the ops team.

Must-have skills

• Proven experience with Terraform on AWS.
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices.
• Hands‑on CI/CD implementation (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Ability to write clear, maintainable HCL and troubleshoot state issues.

Nice to have

• Experience with Sentinel or Open Policy Agent for policy as code.
• Familiarity with container orchestration security (EKS, ECS).
• Certification such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty.
