About the role
AlphaEdge Tech is modernizing a legacy production platform that must stay online 24/7. We need an Android Developer to redesign key modules, improve performance, and ensure zero‑downtime deployments while working part‑time.
Key responsibilities
- Refactor legacy Android codebase to modern Kotlin architecture
- Implement feature flags and blue‑green releases for seamless updates
- Collaborate with backend engineers to align API contracts
- Write unit and UI tests to maintain stability during releases
- Monitor app health and troubleshoot issues in real time
Must-have skills
- Strong Kotlin and Java expertise
- Hands‑on Android SDK experience (API 21+)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for mobile
- Understanding of zero‑downtime deployment strategies
Nice to have
- Experience with Jetpack Compose
- Knowledge of reactive programming (RxJava/Flow)
