About the role

Silverline Labs is enhancing its test automation framework to lower regression risk before product launch. We need an Android Developer to design, implement, and integrate automated UI and API tests for our core mobile app. This short‑term freelance gig focuses on boosting test coverage and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop robust Espresso and UI Automator test suites for key user flows
• Integrate test scripts into CI pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar
• Collaborate with QA and product teams to identify high‑risk areas
• Document test cases, results, and maintenance guidelines
• Provide quick fixes for flaky tests and improve stability

Must-have skills

• 2+ years of Android development with Kotlin and Java
• Hands‑on experience with Espresso, UI Automator, or similar frameworks
• Familiarity with CI/CD integration for mobile testing
• Strong debugging and problem‑solving abilities

Nice to have

• Experience with Firebase Test Lab or Bitrise
• Knowledge of Gradle scripting for test automation
• Background in performance testing on Android devices
