About the role

Orbit Labs is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a proactive Cybersecurity Analyst to assess, design, and implement controls that protect data and services across multi‑cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments and threat modeling for SaaS workloads.
• Develop and apply hardening scripts for Linux servers and containers.
• Implement security monitoring, logging, and alerting in cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with developers to embed security controls into CI/CD pipelines.
• Document findings, remediation steps, and compliance evidence.

Must-have skills

• Strong knowledge of cloud security frameworks (e.g., CIS, NIST).
• Hands‑on experience with vulnerability scanning and remediation.
• Proficiency in scripting with Python for automation.
• Deep understanding of Linux security hardening techniques.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with security incident response in cloud environments.
• Certifications like CISSP, GSEC, or AWS Security Specialty.
