DevOps Engineer Needed for Cloud-Native Observability Stack Setup

About the role

LumenWorks is launching a security hardening initiative for its suite of cloud‑hosted applications. We need a DevOps Engineer who can design, implement, and validate hardened infrastructure while keeping deployment pipelines smooth and reliable.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing AWS environments for security gaps and apply hardening controls
• Integrate automated security scans into CI/CD pipelines
• Refactor Docker images and Kubernetes manifests to follow best‑practice security standards
• Collaborate with developers to embed security checks early in the development cycle
• Document hardened configurations and provide knowledge transfer to the ops team

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with AWS security services (IAM, GuardDuty, Config)
• Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes security practices
• Hands‑on CI/CD pipeline automation (GitLab, Jenkins, or similar)
• Solid understanding of network segmentation, encryption, and secret management

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation for secure IaC
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as CIS Benchmarks or PCI DSS
• Knowledge of vulnerability scanning tools like Trivy or Aqua
